2 quest headsets to play local with walkabout minigolf and Golf+

How do I play with a family member when games only have "online multiplayer" . I am owner of both quests and have a second account for partner on both. App sharing is on the second quest. How do I initiate a local player game, not a online multiplayer guest. Step by step instructions would be appreciated as we are newbies! Also would like the same instructions for Golf+.

Hi @Keithwill124a 🙂

multiplayer is always online, even if you and your partner are physically in the same room.

For walkabout minigolf: just create a private room/game, name it and invite your partner or give him the room-name, so he can join.

I don't have golf+, so I don't know how it is for that game, but I think it works in a similar way.

Thanks for your reply. I have followed the setup procedure of; I own both headsets and partner is an added profile on both. Sharing is enabled on 1 headset. I bought Minigolf and partner has access to all my Apps/Games. My question is how to get us both in the game at the same time, to access the multiplayer/private game. I tried it and got a pop-up with "cannot do this action" or something like that.

Sorry @Keithwill124a .... my bad.

I overlooked that you try to play multiplayer with a shared app...... that normally don't work.

For multiplayer each account needs to own the game.

@kojack  said Walkabout mini golf works playing on two heasets at the same time using the same account.

But the scoreboard might be confused because both players have the same name..... if this doesn't matter to you, your wife don't need to buy the game herself.

Yep, app sharing disables simultaneous use of games by both accounts. It's designed for one headset shared by several accounts.

I can confirm that at least in the past Walkabout Mini Golf does support two headsets with one account. I played against my mother. 🙂

I also logged in to an MVP game of walkabout using two headsets at once (wearing one and holding the other) just to mess with the other players. 🙂

I don't know if just switching to the same account on both will let it work without also disabling app sharing. I've avoided app sharing, so haven't tested it.
