So I'm using a 3D printer tonight and I'm stuck for stuff to print so i'm wondering if anyone has anything they would like printed to see how it comes out or if it works on the CV1 etc.
Here's a couple of leap motion clips I printed on the same machine.
It's a DLP printer so certain parts will be limited by supports etc.
I won't be able to send prints anywhere but I will happily try them.
Oh nice, jealous you've got a DLP printer, what kind is it?
These are some of the things I've printed off myself, so I'm not interested in seeing how they turned out but you might actually find them useful!
Yeah I look at 3D printers all the time, I have decent CAD knowledge but don't know if I have enough to design my own stuff. I would be stuck at printing stuff I find online. I build model kit as a hobby, being able to scratch built my own parts would be awesome!

I bought a wanhao duplicator i3 V2, its an all metal frame printer that's super cheap for what it is! It does require a bit of loving with a few mods and upgrades but I got it printing the same quality as printers that cost x5 what I paid for it. If you like tinkering that I'd recommend it
Thanks @FrozenPea ! That Leap Mount looks worth a try! I'm currently just using bluetack to keep mine in place at the minute as it's really great for minimising the area it takes up. I dont want to block the LEDs if I don't have to.
don't be jealous @maxpare79 it's not my personal printer, just one at work. We use a couple of types of printer and this one is the cheap and cheerful one. The more expensive ones have a support resin that makes them way better for printing detailed parts with cavities.
I'd love to have a spare £100k for a decent printer!
@FrozenPea I have the Duplicator i3 as well. Very decent and inexpensive printer after the mods. Before that I was using a Rostock Max V2 that I built ground up from the kit. The print area was larger, it was faster, and it created some very nice prints, but there were so many headaches with leveling due to the circular bed.
Wow, that's some nice quality you're getting there! We have an older 3D printer here in the office, but the quality of parts we get out of it is not great--nothing smooth like those parts.
It's a Rapidshape HA90. They're very nice printers and the company is growing quickly.
They have a smaller version for jewellery printing which I've always wanted to have a go on. The resolution isn't exactly terrible on the large printers so the high detail ones must be amazing.
