4 weeks in....

OK its been roughly 4 weeks since I bought a second hand CV1 so I thought I would post this.
I am an old dude (50) but the Rift has definately changed the way I use my PC and although it sounds melodramatic, it has even changed the way I live LOL (i.e. I have turned my bedroom in to a full scale room scale setup ).
Since buying it I have also added a new sensor (for the roomscale) and other little bits and pieces (foam cover etc) and I think the next big purchase for it will be some frames and prescription lenses (Lens Labs).
I am an avid sim racer and I dont think I will ever be going back to using monitors for racing.
This is a list of software/games I use/enjoy the most (again, bear in mind I am old and slow and still experimenting in the world of VR).

1. Assetto Corsa.
2. Oculus Tray Tool.
3. Virtual Desktop.
4. Medium.
5. Pinball FX2 VR.
6. NoLimits2.
7. Drop Dead.
8. Gunjack.
9. Tilt Brush.
10. Plane9.
11. Magic Table Chess.
12 SteamVR.

There are others I enjoy (Firma, Space Pirate Trainer, Eve Valkyrie, LyraVR, etc etc) and there are more that I am looking forward to (Fallout VR, Project Cars 2 in particular) but I just wanted to post how much I am enjoying the whole experience so far.

And a quick note I just bought the Howards complete Conan chronicles collection because it just popped in my head from this topic and hp lovecrafts collection off of Amazon because I saw it lol.

I loved REH's Conan series when I was a kid. I didn't realize he also wrote John Carter. 

The only Robert Jordan books I've read were the few Conan novels he wrote to round out the series after REH's death. I wasn't crazy about his work, but that's largely down to comparing it to Howard's writing.

I know this thread wasn't about books, but just wanted to add.  The Thomas Covenant books are my favorite series of all time.  I'd love to play a Rift MMO set in the Land!  Also, if you haven't read them since High School, and if that was a long time ago for you, as it is for me, then I highly recommend the latest 4 Thomas Covenant books, all written since 2004.

Someone mentioned the Dark Tower series-- that is my 2nd favorite series of all time.  Would love to play a Rift game, or series of games, set in Steven King's epic multiverse, where you play the role of another Gunslinger, and perhaps run into Roland in your travels.
