4090 vs Reverb G2 for PCVR Gaming?

Buying a 4090 13900k in 3 months. Pico 4 is perfect except for the lack of DP port for PCVR. Has controllers, cheaper than the reverb with no controllers. I have heard many people who have a fantastic picture for vr gaming, and many who could not get any decent quality out of the image(no 4090 to help decoding?)

My current router is wifi6 and below my room, offset by a few m. My PC has Ethernet from the router. Little other traffic is on the network. I am more than happy to get a dedicated router to go in my room, to my understanding that connects to the router and then the PC Ethernet goes to the VR router. PC is in my bedroom, is radiation from the router a consideration? I can just plug it in when wanted for VR and otherwise just have Ethernet to the PC from the main router. The Pico's pancake lenses and sweet spot is much better than the g2 so if I can get the compression to be not noticeable then I will go with that. Can any 4090 owners comment on how bad the compression is? Will I need the dedicated router? I have heard of cable solutions but that seems to be a mixed bag too.
