A friendly reminder to anyone who's pre-ordered.

If, like me you've put aside some money for the Oculus Rift (perhaps into a savings account, or cash under a mattress) then you will want to have that money in the bank or credit card ready for Oculus by Monday or Tuesday latest to avoid any delays or your order getting cancelled. To all those lucky enough to have the money ready and waiting be sure to call the bank on Monday and inform them that you are expecting a large transaction this week to avoid any potential fraud card freezes.

I'm sure many of you have taken these steps and are prepared but figured I'd post this reminder anyway.

And of course, if someone here uses PayPal, there is always a way to pre-pay the account to needed sum. For example, my account already has all money needed to fill the transaction.

Indeed, as OP stated, it would be a very good idea to fill the accounts on Monday if you have a March estimate.

Be careful, sometimes Paypal can still take the funds from your credit/debit card if that's the option you chose when you pre-ordered.

Why Monday or Tuesday at the latest? They aren't shipping until March 28, an entire week from Monday. Also you should clarify that it's only people who are in the first shipment, with an estimated date of March or early April.

I preordered via Paypal.
The verification of my Paypal account was successful.
Though I never granted a permit for a debit in advance before, so I don't have any clue how Paypal will react to that.
Has anybody made experiences with Paypal in such cases :?:
Is Paypal likely to block the charge from Oculus, if I don't contact Paypal in advance, or do you guys know for sure that this will not be a problem :?:

I just want to play it safe haha 🙂

I have the money in my Paypal balance. Good to go. 🙂

C'mon Canadian Dollar. Rally up to $0.80 before Oculus charges me!

Don't think it will make any difference, since we preordered at a Canadian dollar price, not a US dollar price?
