For my Quest 2 I used an aftermarket BOBOVR M2 head strap that was simply held in place via front-to-back pressure on my head using a turn knob. It does not have a strap or cushion going front-to-back over the top of my head, which leaves a silly indentation in my hair when done.
It looks like BOBVR is making a similar head strap for the Quest 3, although it is currently out of stock. Also, they only offer the model with a battery pack, which I don't need.
Has anyone found a head strap for the Quest 3 that does not have that front-to-back strap over the top of your head? Thanks for reading...

I have also the M2 for Quest 2 and love it.....I have the version with battery although I don't need it.....but it's so nice for balance of the headset.
If you don't mind to spend a bit more money I recommend to buy the BOBOVR with battery.
I'm sure you won't regret that.🙂

Yes, I think you are right. I can always choose to first use the headset without the battery clicked in. It won't hurt to have the extra battery capacity handy if I need it. And perhaps I'll also appreciate the difference in balance, as you mentioned. I haven't found any alternatives to the BOBOVR that look equally comfortable. It's a waiting game for the M3 version to become available...

Right, it's definitely worth to wait for Bobovr M3.
I'm also waiting for it ....looking every day if it's available😅
Btw I have the battery always clicked in, even if I play tethered....just for balance.
