Unfortunately I only have 2 SSDs.. one for my main Windows install & the other for flight sim stuff, so am having to use one of them old fashioned HDD for this test... forgotten what a big difference an SSD makes!

Just in the process of removing all non-essentials from the alternative Windows and seeing what else I can do to hopefully speed things up a bit.

Okay you can Start the Game from a windows installation on a second hdd. Can you explain how you get it to work on the cv1 ?

It's using older runtimes and wrappers @Benobi... hopefully I haven't spoken too soon but will post when I've sorted it out

I'd bang = I will install

A separate ssd = a solid state hard disk dive which will be additional to my current 2 solid state hard disk drives I currently have installed in a raid 0 configuration within my personal computer 

In my machine = into my personal computer

Just for AI = for the possibility of playing the game "alien isolation"

I think nalex66 was deliberately misinterpreting for comic effect. Were you re-misinterpreting for even greater comic effect? If so, I'm not sure my brain can handle this level of comic recursion! 😄
