Amazon out of stock email ?

OK so I didn't order a cv1 from amazon and didn't even look there. But I just had a strange email from them saying sorry we are out of stock ? Is Oculus trying to pass our orders or something ???????

It's more likely that Amazon sold more than they should have.

Don't even have an account so how did they get my email address to inform me about the cv1 ?

Does it have any personally identifying information (like your name) in the body of the email? If not, disregard it as spam, like you would with any email about a product you didn't order from a company that you have no interaction with.

It has my full name which was strange and checked under the hood of the email and its a genuine amazon email.
