I have an Index and a quest3. Had 500+ hours in VR. Here is my first impression of PSVR2:
Build quality feels bad. It has a cheap feeling compared to index and even quest 3. Seems it will break easily.
It is more comfortable to wear compared to both index and quest3. There is no light leakage at all, which improves immersion a lot.
Resolution is better than index, and is close to quest 3 in the middle of the screen. The surrounding regions are blurred as **bleep**. And the color separates at those regions.
Yes, mura is very visible and annoying. It’s especially noticeable when adjusting the brightness in settings.
Controller is worse than index but similar to quest3. It feels not immersive that you cannot open your palm.
I like the vibration of headset. It feels vivid.
I might replace a new unit to see if there is any improvement because the mura is shockingly bad and I don’t quite believe Sony would sell it at this state.
