Any good VR chairs on the market?

I have the cord on my headset mounted to the celling with a pulley
system so the cord getting in my way is not a problem.  I have been playing smashbox arena every night
for the past week and thought it would be really nice playing a game like this
sitting down and still being able to keep 360 movement and have my arms free.

Searching the internet for VR chairs I came across these
motion stools. They look to be exactly what I was looking for. Being able to
sit up tall with your feet planted on the floor ready to turn the seat real quick
with no frame to kick, you can even lean forward or bend over.

Anyone else have a nice setup for sitting 360 gamming.

I like using an office swivel chair. The height can be adjusted but not as high as chairs in the photo

The roto vr comes to mind, but it's pretty expensive

ya and the rotation is slow.

it looks like they also came up with an extension that allows the cable to turn freely without twisting, I wish they would sell that separately.

Impressive. (Said in Darth Vader voice of course)
Might have to 'borrow' your idea there.
What are the recoil devices you're using.

You came up with a good model there, but I'm worried those motion stools aren't designed for gaming and you'd fall off during fast rotations if you tried hardcore gaming with a VR blindfold on one. Might work great for front facing Touch games ?

As for me it's not out yet, but I kickstarted the VRGO chair : https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/vrgo/vrgo-the-chair-that-redefines-movement-in-virtual

It's for sitting rather then standing, it wobbles around like an egg (with a weighted base so it doesn't wobble over), and that one is designed from ground up for (VR) gaming, including built-in chair tracking (over Bluetooth) so it can potentially track strafing and also track the chair rotation separately from the VR headset rotation. Meaning it could move you in the direction your body is facing while your headset facing another direction, and also provides body rotation and strafing... and all of it hands free.

It's basically a sitting VR treadmill, except you lean forward/backward/sideways instead of walking to move your body... But again it's not out yet (almost), and even as a Kickstarter it will be at least a few more weeks before I can try out the final version of the product myself.

Then there's the other issue that most Oculus VR games use teleporting instead of walking, so the VRGO's extra tracking features (moving forward/backward, strafing, tracking your body rotation separately from your headset rotation...) might go to waste, leaving you just with an expensive wobbling stool (would be more useful for room scale / treadmill based games).

More news on VRGO in this forum when the final product does get released 🙂

Thanks.
