Any news? Is it just me or are things going slow?

It would be interesting, what OVR is doing right now - I have not heard any news about a new SDK, a new driver (hm, reminds me of a tweet some time ago about a major breakthrough) or any other "real" news - googling news about it is the usual, some new demos, some interviews, all in all not really something new. Is Oculus working on getting the GearVR ready, finalizing the specs of CV1, working on new drivers?

So, question is, is there any news? What is the status? When can we expect to get some update? 🙂

Just curious! 🙂

Wasn't Crescent Bay the breakthrough? Would be good if some other thing was in the pipeline though.

Yeah, I really hope they are not having major problems with the runtime / sdk..

There are lots of problems to fix around 'runtime' and 'sdk' and yet it is already more then a month ago since an update.

Looking forward to some fixes specialy around the multimonitor handling. / black screens / direct mode not working etc etc

Also news on lenses, whether there will be replacements available.

I kinda have that feeling too,
they might be too busy with fame now that they´ve been to many conferences, they should get back to work if that´s the case and focus on the Rift, there's no time to lose. 😄

I guess this will have rather low priority, but who knows... maybe we get fresh lenses before we get rid of the judder,
the not quite working direct to rift, asynchronous warp, etc...

Things are not moving slowly. It only seems that way sometimes because we obsessively check for new info every day. Oculus has been moving at break neck speed with their work. A watched pot and all.

Break neck speed is a little bit relative.. I don't think having a sdk / runtime update once a month (and there is not even a sign that there will be an update soon) is break neck speed this early in the process with so many things to fix.

Just an announcement of things to come and what issues are being adressed would be nice - just a general idea, right now it is a bit like sitting in the dark. 🙂 just throw us a bone.
