I tried that, but don't think it did much to be honest.

I am probably the not the best person to try that out since my unit really does not give me any sort of clarity.   However,  Its not like it changed the resolution or anything that I noticed.

What would you compare the resolution with 720p? If monitor, I don't get my rift till mid month. Or is it jest different but clear? Damn sorry to hear it dose not give any sort of clarity you should put a ticket in if your eyes are good.

I guess that is a very subjective question.  I find the screen door vastly improved over the DK2,  and was extremely happy with my first Rift.   Everything seemed very crisps,  however with the unit I have now not so much.

If something is right in your face you should expect a good level of detail and clarity.   As objects move a little further away then they become distorted. (once again to an extent)

However VR at the moment is not about what you would expect to see on a monitor or TV.  Its the immersion factor.

example:  Chronos game -

If you move the character as close as possible to you and while the character is facing you, you should be able to see a good amount of detail in its face.   However if you walk just a few feet away the face become blurred or distorted.

I really don't think it is that way for every one some people talk it up like they can see for miles. but I don't know do other people have the same problem in Chronos? sorry to hear that put a ticket it.

So an accurate description of what I just witnessed to bring this in perspective.

As I said before in Chronos;

Move your character as close as possible to you.   You will see the level of detail in the face,  can see the eye color and whatnot.

*as your character moves you can hear the footsteps,  so with that in mind.

I moved the character 4 steps backwards -  at that point I could not make out the color of the eyes,  nor see any pupils.

I moved the character back another 4 steps (so now we are at 😎 and I could not make out the nose.

I moved the character back another 4 steps (so now we are at 12 steps)  the face was totally burred.

Bad screens, or lens but they would haft to be very bad could be both. I knew when hearing you had red dots on the screen, and such blur problems. have you sent in for support, take some pics of it if you can, and send them in with the support ticket.

Well pictures don't really help,  even the pictures I have taken are different experience when inside the rift.

...and yeah I have probably a hundred or so emails with support now.
