Anything more specific than "upcoming" available for AMD support for ASW?

Title. People testing ASW out with the registry trick from the talk (link) are beginning to post results. Incredible results. Turning-everything-up-to-ultra-with-recommended-hardware-and-still-getting-buttery-smooth-gameplay-incredible.

So any news on that?

AMD released a driver with ASW support on the RX 400 series cards. No word on whether earlier cards will get ASW support.

Well that much I know. But I haven't seen anyone actually verifying that it works. Also I'm more interested for Fiji / Hawaii GPUs.

As a Hawaii owner... I feel you.

I've got an RX 480, downloading the AMD Hotfix Driver as we speak, keen to test it all out haha 🙂

I have an RX480 , after installing 16.10.1 tried the registry hack and just got an error in the logs.
So for me it did not work.

Yeah I'm not seeing any changes in games after trying the keys, nothing changes, I double and triple checked the registry still nothing

I want it on my Fury card, mailed AMD support but they haven't responded at all in 3 days.

Yea I'll be a bit tick if they don't support the Fury cards as well. Might be the last time I buy AMD if that's the the case. The Fury X card should've been built close the 400 series cards. They haven't said they wouldn't - so time will tell. Some times the updates release a bit early for new cards - later for slightly older cards.

Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.10.1 Highlights:

Added Support For:

  • Gears of War 4
  • Mafia III
  • Support for Oculus’ Asynchronous Spacewarp (ASW) feature on select Radeon RX 400 series graphics products. ASW compares previously rendered frames, detects the motion between them, and extrapolates the position of scene components to create a new synthetic frame. Using this technology, synthetic frames will accurately approximate the fully-rendered frames they’re designed to replace.

is it worth turning this on for gtx970 cards?

Still nothing, I guess with the upcoming Battlefield 1 release, they will hopefully release another hotfix/performance driver which will maybe have ASW support for previous GPUs as well.

So Crimson 16.10.2 has been release an hour ago and unfortunately nothing about ASW support. Tried a minute ago in Elite:Dangerous and hitting CTRL+Numpad 1/2/3/4 didn't do anything.
