Are these cleaning wipes ok to use with the Rift?

I've been after some advice on cleaning my lenses and I was told on Reddit that these were ok to use and that someone at Oculus had recommended them. But before I try them and potentially wreck my lenses I thought I had best check here.

These are what I was recommended: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IKGH2TI/

Anyone tried them or know if they work? Any official word?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

As long as they don't have alcohol on them I think they'll be fine. They're for cleaning lenses I'd be surprised if they do.

I would not use those to clean your VR lenses. It has some nasty stuff in them. I would stick with a dry cloth. the only thing that could come in contact with your lenses is dust and body fat. which all go away with a dry cloth.

I've used a few different wipes on the Rift lenses and it seems like it's mostly OK. The one's I've tried say they are safe for glass, plastic, and polycarbonate. The brands are "The Safety Director" and "MCR Safety", not sure if you can find those in the UK.

I'm iffy on those MCR Safety wipes.  I've used them just a couple of times and afterwards I felt like my screen was slightly hazier.  My lenses are perfectly clean afterwards, but things just seemed slightly foggier.  Could just be my imagination, but I feel like it's better to err on the side of caution.  I plan on picking up some alcohol free wipes to test.

Do not clean the headset lenses with any liquid or chemical cleansers.

We know, but it becomes necessary at some point.  Cleaning with a dry cloth will lead to scratches.

I'm not sure I'd try them as they have Isopropanol on them, on plastic lenses it can cause them to go cloudy and permanently damage them. Could be a very expensive mistake.

Not to be rude but this is exactly why I am asking in the official forums before buying them and I am still none the wiser because some say they would be ok and others no. I too would say no due to alcohol but they are meant to be specifically for lens and others have said they have used them. I have read the oculus support post about cleaning the lenses but that scares me a little because I was always told that dry cleaning lenses was a big no-no. So I'm totally confused now.

Funny thing about oculus they say only use a dry micro fiber cloth but when u look at another part of support for cleaning lenses they say if u have to use a cleaner one they named was sparkle optical lens cleaner. They say apply small amount to micro fiber cloth and gently wipe in circular motion. Sounds like u use only when needed. I purchased it just in case. I wouldn't use wipes of any kind.
