I have had my CV1 for a few weeks now, enjoying the experience, already completed Adr1ft.
BUT... is it possible to make the Headphones operate only when you are wearing the HMD and then revert back to your default playback device. I know I can do this manually, but it would be nice if it was automatic as there is already a sensor to detect when you are wearing the HMD ?

Yes, that is how it's supposed to work. If it's not, then something is wrong. Can you provide these logs?

Have you tried re-installing audio drivers?

I thought it was a bit strange  😐  Not a big issue just a couple of clicks to fix.

Does this happen with one particular game? What about if you don't open a game but just put on the headset and look at Home (which does have some ambient sound). Does sound return to default after taking the headset off? Does the headset screen turn off when you take it off?

Just uninstalled an re-installed audio drivers and it is now switching between HMD headphones and speakers correctly.
Not sure what fixed it, thought it was odd !

Thanks for your response cybereality + whoa182.

I was curios about, which headphone should I choose for the the VR experience, mainly between Sennheiser PXC 450 and Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B, I found them on this site Headphones helper
