Australian pre-order experience

It's only two days left till the end of my estimate shipping date and they still haven't charged me yet so I'm little concerned about the delay. I know it's only estimate but who wants to wait for few more days after such a long wait !!

Anyway I was hoping if AUS guys can share the pre-order experience here so we have better insight on what's going on.

and to be brutally honest, as much as I would cancel my order if this was another company selling something else, I've invested too much time following the development of the Rift and getting my hopes up for a product I know I will thoroughly enjoy and is better than it's competitors.

yeah, they have us over a barrel... either give up entirely or go with a unit that looks like a Dev kit (my subjective opinion so no flames please) for an extra $800AU once you've paid the additional $200 to get a vive into the country..

one of the guys I work with got his KS notification yesterday... he's bringing it into work next week so we can have a look... so my first experience with a new Rift will be one shipped to a Kickstarter backer for free.. very stoked for him, insanely jealous and kinda pissed about it in a non-specific "shouldn't be pissed about other peoples good fortune" kinda way.

Ok - So tomorrow is the last day of my shipping window.

I am a 27ér, 7min order with an original March shipping date, which has been pushed back and pushed back.

I have still not been charged, and based on turn around from charged to shipping, there is no way im getting it shipped tomorrow now... there have been more and more Australian delays, and the only movement i have seen in the last 2 weeks is the kick starters and their Gift-rifts, and the people who were charged back in April then got delays due to customs.

To say that i am once again hugely disappointed is an understatement, the customer journey from start to finish with this product has been down right diabolical, and i am certain this experience will be used in case studies for people studying business in the future.

No, i am not going to cancel, i do believe this is the better first gen product... yes i am grateful for to Oculus and Palmer for making this awesome gadget, but their business sense and acumen has been diabolical.

All i can say is i am in total disbelief at whats going on, and the state of things....

Sorry to rant and vent - but i know a lot of us are feeling like this.

Well here we are on the last day of my shipping window. I'm unsurprised to say I've seen SFA movement on my account, and nothing telling me it'll ship. 

So so we have LOTS of people in the US saying "yes mine is shipping 2 weeks earlier than expected" and we're over here wondering what the hell is going on. 

I DID get a fricken surveymonkey from them asking how I would rate my support experience, which is just rubbing salt in the wounds.. Needless to say I was neutral in my response in relation to the agent, and bloody unkind about the rest of the experience I've had.

They said next week, not sure where you got Tomorrow from ?
