It's only two days left till the end of my estimate shipping date and they still haven't charged me yet so I'm little concerned about the delay. I know it's only estimate but who wants to wait for few more days after such a long wait !!
Anyway I was hoping if AUS guys can share the pre-order experience here so we have better insight on what's going on.
Excellent in my opinion. I preordered sometime day one, was originally penned for May delivery, pushed back to jul/aug but qualified for shipping charge delete. To my surprise shipped not long ago and arrived at my door earlier today. I have seen there's a lot of frustration but I think it's worth noting that manufacturing a new product is going to take time to ramp up, it was either this way or everybody waits til the end of the year, and that's assuming JB HIFI is on board to take stock like a proven product ie; Space COD.
Plenty of talk about the money facebook has behind it, that company is owned by the shareholders now and I doubt they have an interest in the zero cents oculus is returning them, if we have a problem with that let's all chip in on a controlling portion. I feel the rollout is still being done with an enthusiasts level of respect, and that our patience is being rewarded. It might feel like a bit of a grind waiting now, but this isn't a new galaxy S with an extra core we're getting.
And hey, I'm from the days of being last on price and release date of anything, being par with the rest of the world is awesome.

That's not quite fair then ... I ordered as soon as their page opened.
Was in March delivery originally, then pushed to April then to early May ..
Good for you bartos but it looks like the ordering system has not worked very well & jumbled up the orders in a random way. Hard to be surprised by that though.
