CV1 won't light up again GTX 980 ?

the first time I setup my CV1 on the GFX 980 every thing worked well, and I was able to fully use it.. After a few hours playing it stop showing displays inside..

So I reinstalled everything and stuck at the point where to setup in VR because no image in the rift (only orange light).. I tried differnet adapters, dvi hdmi, displayport hdmi, different gfx (GTX980 and GTX750), also a complete different computer (all rift ready) with no luck.. also tried the stop and start the OVRService, unplug, replug aso...

PS: Riftsetup shows all 3 green checks for hdmi and the two USB connections, sensor and glasses are showen correctly under devices without error (audio is working on the classes), also the notice that the led of the sensor is not on, and the sensor can't find the rift in setup (for sure I tried also different USB ports 3.0 und 2.0)...

All drivers GFX, MOBO, USB, .net, are the latest available... could it be that the rift or sensor is demaged by something ?

Have you made sure the cable is snugly connected to the hmd? You can gently squeeze the faceplate(plastic oval the face foam is adhered to and pull at a downward angle to remove the faceplate to get to the cord to carefully unplug/replug to make sure it's in snug.

yes I also unplug and replug this cable on the hmd a few times, even checked if there is a connection problem of the cable but it fits good into the plug, all pins look good..

I read that a lot of others has problems especialy with their gtx980 of getting no signal..

I deinstalled all Oculus stuff Today and installed the older runtime 0.8 (with my cv1) and the Panel says hmd powered off, Check hdmi Connection.. But it is all Connected, also tried different gfx driver.. No power on the Rift, why ?

Not quite sure, you might want to give @cybereality your error log file, maybe he can track it down. You may also want to open a ticket with support, though imo they don't seem as helpful or quick to respond like cyber.

Yea I think I need to do that.. will check everything again first on a 3th computer, with different hardware, if it still don't light up, I'm going to submit a ticket... is cybereality also one of the oculus team, is it ok to send request to him too.. ?

Yeah cyber is the only oculus staff that responds regularly on these forums, he's generally very helpful and knowledgeable. Hope you find a solution, good luck.

@cybereality here is the logfile I (from the part where I stuck at the setup guide).. by the way I also skiped the guide today to get into home, the strange thing is that all devices, rift, sensor, and remote are showen as connected correctly without any issues (all devices showen with serial numbers and firmware version, look like the are OK)... I also took a few screenshots from the setupguide, its also very strange that my rift is not found by the sensor at the point of sensor setup (if I plug the sensor into a usb 3.0 port it reports an error, at the 2.0 port, no error but also can't find the rift, even not after 10min moving the rift in front of the sensor).. there is no other way than to skip at this point.. even no image inside the rift by starting an app out of oculus home...

seems that my rift has been frozen, and need to be hardreset to wake up (if there is a way to)

hopefully cybereality has an idea of whats going on with my stuff...
