It REALLY feels like you should be able to walk around using the Xbox Controller and do stuff like decorate or play games, make an Avatar, visit friends, sit on the couch/theater and load up a game or video, maybe surf YouTube or Netflix etc... Would be super cool if you could do all that "in game" with your friends and avatars.

Feels like you should be able to, yes (but no, obviously you can't).  This would be an uncomfortable experience for many people (locomotion via a controller often is), so I guess it hasn't been a priority to make Oculus Home very interactive in this way.  They don't want the first thing people try to be uncomfortable.

I would really like it if you could customize it and make it feel really comfy for you. I would even participate if they had little mini games to collect stuff for it.

Another thought I had was if Oculus included a feature that allowed devs for games to create their own room that you could use as your home if you owned that game.

If anyone has seen Caprica which was the prequel to BattleStar Galactic? In it they would put on the VR like glasses and be able to travel around the VR space. That is my hope for the future Rift or other devices. So I think as baby steps we should be able to move around in Oculus Home and then have doorways that connect to other Homes or places or worlds and not just to launch a game or watch a video...

Be kinda neat...Build your own home, put all your games out on shelves, in display cases, etc.

Yea I'd like it if devs or users could change Home.   Easliy sounds like a marketable store product, to customise your "home", as you would customise a Desktop

You probably won't see anything explicitly targeting 'room scale' or motion tracked experiences until the Oculus Touch is available.  There are several experiences they're probably holing back on because they lend naturally to the use of Touch.  This seems like it might be one of them.

Yea, being the name HOME, it would be a nice feature to make it a personal space. It's still early for Rift and Oculus Home. Let's just hope it doesn't get infested with ads...   :#

As much as it pains me to say this, I see a future where in-game achievements are displayed as trophies and microtransaction funiture or pets little your virtual living room.
