What is going on?
I want to get it done. I don’t want to wait for some email that may or may not come, I don’t want Oculus to charge my credit card at some later date and have my credit card company block the charge( which just happed with T-mobile when I tried to order an iPhone that was out of stock ).

I have the order number... let me pay for it so I no longer have to worry about it.

Well I rather wait for the US dollar to tank versus the currently very stinky Aussie dollar 😉

The exchange rate does not effect the price.... unless you import.... but to do that you need a US address....

Sounds like it won't start to recover until the end of the year.

Some analysts are predicting the dollar will drop to US65c by the end of March

That would make the Rift >$1200 shipped vs $1138 today (and $1104 on pre-order day).

I'd like to pay for it now as well

Australians are being charged in US dollars, so the exchange rate will affect the price. Even the $132 shipping fee is in US dollars. I would have preferred to pay at the time of preorder because I suspect the Australian dollar will be weaker by the time the CV1 ships.

That has to be an error, why would that be the case when all 19 of the other regions are being charged in thier own currency?

I'm OK with any method that doesn't push my pre-order to the next batch if there's some minor last minute issue on my payment I have to go fix (like me failing to answer an automatic security call from my bank to confirm the purchase at the time of the billing).

/signed - I'd like to pay for my preorder simply for the peace of mind of knowing that it's cemented in the system. Having a guest acct. order that never received an original conf. email which can't be tied to my Oculus ID is too ephemeral for my comfort. I want something more concrete. A big fat uptick in my PayPal balance would do the trick.

Really Tim ? have you been hiding under a rock lol. We have multiple threads on here and reddit asking why we were charged in USD rather than our home currency like all the other counties, Plus the stupidly high shipping fees.
