Cannot access my old Oculus Account. SMS verification code not received

I own an Oculus Quest (first generation). I know that Oculus accounts are moved to Meta since 2023, but still I cannot recover it because I cannot receive the SMS with verification code (phone number is correct and no number is blocked).

By the way, the serial number of my Oculus Quest is not recognized anymore by the support page, so this forum is basically my last resort.

Just to check, do you mean you moved your Oculus account to a Meta account but now can't get in to that? Because the move from Oculus to Meta accounts wasn't automatic, you had to do the migration process, and Meta started deleting Oculus accounts that weren't migrated back in March 2024.

(They definitely could have made it automatic, but they didn't for some reason. Or they could have not deleted them, its not like Oculus accounts were taking up much storage space at Meta)

Edit: one other point. Is your phone number a +86 number? (Chinese region) Those are known to always fail Meta's SMS verification (I've seen quite a few people on here with that issue).

If I remember correctly I did the move to Meta by myself at one point.
From the Meta Quest Link Windows app, if I try to login via "Do you have an Oculus Account?" procedure, my old password is not recognized and the password recovery procedure fails. So I try to connect with the normal Login -> Use another Account -> Continue with Email Address. At this point, they send me the verification code via email, which is accepted, and finally they ask for SMS verification code (last shown digits correspond to my phone number), which never arrives.
My phone number starts with +39, I'm from Italy.
