Consolidate all NSFW topics into a new NSFW sub-forum?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, as i don't see any "Suggestions" subforum.

Anyway as topic, while we cannot stop the introduction of porn or NSFW materials for VR,
it is after all another form of entertainment, may i suggest opening a new subforum labelling
it as NSFW or Porn instead of just seeing such posts all over the place?

As artists and developers start to get more comfortable in developing VR media,
we will start seeing some of them produce materials that may not be suitable for
viewing in general public. (Eg: Porn or Extreme Violence/Gore)
and i'm not sure if its appropriate letting minors access such materials on this site.

In this way, people who want to look for such stuffs can just access it easily, and people who are
uncomfortable with NSFW will not see them pop up all over Showcase, or WIP or any other sections.

Moving ahead, how can we set some kind of restriction to such materials?
Maybe Oculus can issue a special password only for legit Rift purchasers who have been given
Rift Shipping information to be able to access this sub-forum?

Of course, im sure this wouldn't be nearly as effective a deterrance, but i think its nice
to exercise at least some form of control as Oculus is a Tech company after all, i wouldn't
want the general public to have the impression that this is the place to go for VR Porn.

Having such measures in place is showing that Oculus is at least trying its best to deter
and being socially responsible on this matter.

Just my suggestion. Thanks.

Sorry but not everyone wants to subscribe to American prude standards regarding sexuality.

An NSFW subforum? Sure! Makes it way easier for people who are interested in NSFW stuff to find relevant things and exchange opinions with likeminded individuals - and keeps the moralists happy as well because they don't have to see such topics in the GD forum.

Restrictions on accessing that forum? Hell no. Completely overdoing things.

lol i'm not American.
And yea putting restrictions on accessing that forum is just a suggestion. I'm not even sure if its doable.
It would be good enough if all NSFW topics can be consolidated in a separate sub-forum.

Anyway its not just for moralists.
Would prevent that awkward moment when your kid clicks into the
"Oculus-ready Games and Demos" sub-forum looking for games to play,
and finding a thread showing a sex toy instead and asks you what its for.
Threads like this one: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=3059

Well, there are a few "adult" content Oculus Rift sites and forums out there that already handle this pretty well without having to change things around here. Not to mention the Reddit NSFW Oculus sub-sub-reddit.

I think this is a good idea. Us perverts can get our fix in one place and you can add somekind of "Are you over 18?" page to it.

So would it be for porn and gore? How much gore is extreme? Or are you talking about stuff that is both porn and gore?

This idea sucks. Porn is a great selling point so requiring people to purchase a rift before viewing the forum is stupid. Page asking "Are you over 18" should be enough, the rest is the parents responsibility.

What?

Are you saying that oculus should be anti porn? Oculus should not be against ANY use of the rift. Not gore and not ANY kind of porn.

So.. you're saying you are NOT against child pornography as long as it's on the rift? Or other illegal activities? :?

If you mean drawn or 3d footage of characters that appear to be underage then yes i am not against it. As for actual illegal stuff, well that should be left for the police. You dont expect to see kitchenware stores to tell you not to stab people but that does not mean that they support stabbing.

In the US and various other nations, possession of anime porno with underage girls is illegal and could, theoretically, lead to prosecution and conviction as a sex crime. It has happened before. Interpretations of law have been clear. See this Wiki for examples: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_status_of_cartoon_pornography_depicting_minors.
One cites a comic book collector, and there are other instances mentioned of people being thrown behind federal bars, solely for such possession. Oculus might want to be careful about what links they allow to be posted, or perhaps(?) they could be charged with propagating obscene material or something something. Frankly, I just wish folks would focus on realistic porn in Rift, rather than little anime girls. It really does seem distasteful to me...but still not prison-wrong.
