Control Box Turns On, Then Off

I recently put my Oculus away for a bit while I was reorganizing, now I'm trying to hook it up again.

But I'm having hardware problems I've never seen before. It's really freaking me out!

No matter what I do, it seems like I can't get an image to show up in my Oculus. When I hook it up, the control box can be turned on... then it turns itself off a moment later. There's no image in the Oculus display at any point.

What's up with this?

I don't have a Rift yet.. but is there a chance you have the wrong power supply plugged into the control box?

I had mine doing that, and have found that if you unplug the power cord, then plug it back in, it will then turn on and stay on

This was happening to me on one of my rifts, it was a faulty power supply, I changed the power supply and it worked.

Yikes. I tried seeing if another power supply would work, but I couldn't find one that fit.

Does anyone have a picture of their Oculus power supply that I can see, just to make sure I'm using the right one?

I guess I'll try to find a replacement power supply. Hmm.

aha, it was the wrong power supply.

I had the right one in a drawer somewhere!

Now I wonder where this one goes...

Opps .. well at least you got the rift working, good to know its sorted 🙂
