Hey all. I have a pc already with a xeon e5-2630 v3 and that has 8 cores but 2.933 ghz. Will it do a good job becuse it has alot of cores? or is speed the main factor for vr?
You can run this on your computer to check if your current system is compatible. https://ocul.us/compat-tool In general, higher clocks help and you won't see a huge improvement going over 4 cores.
I had already run the test, and it showed neg, but I decided to post anyway because I wasn't sure what specs the application was really considering. Would you happen to know what the testing application measures most? That would be super helpful.
I just upgraded this weekend and noticed a huge improvement with no issues so far. The 3770 was no slouch, but noticeable going to the 7700k.
