Random piece of trivia for the day: That original Maxell ad features the lead singer of Bauhaus - Peter Murphy.
I only know that from "The Ongoing History of New Music" by Alan Cross. It's a phenomenal radio show by a Canadian producer @ Edge 102. If you're into modern Rock anywhere from Punk to current Rock, try to find one of the hundreds of episodes out there. I'm sure there's a torrent, and I think you can even stream episodes online at edge102.com His show was essentially a podcast before there were podcasts. If you're a Rock fan, it's worth checking out.
@LZoltowski - I used to sell Audio equipment. I still have my Marantz SR 6300 OSE with Paradigm M7 v2's. I use a pair of Mini Monitors for rears, and a PS-1000 that is sitting idle in the box because I'm in a row house and my neighbours don't like earthquakes.
I still remember recording songs off the radio for my bright yellow Walkman. My father had a pretty massive record collection and gave me free rein as a kid. I can't imagine how much damage I did to his records back then.
