Couple Questions regarding the DK2

I'm planning on selling my Dev Kit 1 (its just sitting on the shelf collecting dust) today is the first day I've used it in months. I'm really considering on selling it for the DK2.

Honestly I'd personally would like to have a DK2 because of the higher resolution but the DK1 is just unplayable now after testing out the DK2.

Questions I have :

Will the headtracking work similar to the DK1? Meaning do I have to have the positional camera? I ask this mainly because I'm pre-ordering a Virtuix Omni and I haven't seen any Virtuix videos using the DK2 so I'm a little worried on this.

Should I just sell my dk1 for the DK2? Personally I think I should but I'm not 100% sure to be honest I think it'd be able to easily sell my dk1 on eBay but I don't know if I should make the change (mainly because of the Virtiux Omni reason) I'm really wanting to use my omni a lot but not if it will not work with the DK2.

and lastly will my pc meet the spec requirements? I've been hearing on /r/Oculus that the DK2 has killed a few powerful pc's which kind of worries me as well.

Games created with the older SDK for Dk1 need to be recompiled for the DK2 SDK and do not work unless this is done because of a change in the hardware used between the two headsets. Ultimately it will come down to the game. AFAIK games recompiled for the DK2 will still work on the DK1 through legacy mode.

Its actually disappointing to hear that the cyberith does not yet factor in the positional tracking on the DK2, I had been wavering on whether to buy one but I wont be looking until this is incorporated.

TBH I would hang on to your DK1 - it gives you another unit to try if the other doesnt want to play, and who knows it could end up being a collectors item.

tbh. this is one of the reasons why I didn't want to get rid of my dk1 😛 but honestly I'm not sure anymore. I mean after looking at some of the other virtual reality kits not being "Collectors items" I mean it could be a collectors item since Oculus was the first ever company to actually make VR playable at a cheap cost. but I just don't know :S

The DK2 works fine for orientation tracking just like the DK1 when not in view of the camera. (I haven't tried unplugging the camera entirely)

You say you haven't used your DK1 in months and it has been collecting dust on the shelf. I think you should sell it on ebay asap before the selling prices drop even lower and then you should wait even longer for something other than a DK2.

Or maybe keep the DK1 and get a RiftUP! upgrade for it instead of a DK2?
