DCOC runs smoother with 4.2

I've noticed that DCOC and Prepar3d run better (smoother) with 4.2. There appears to be less P3D induced judder when looking around the cockpit etc.

Does anyone else have the same opinion?

Anyone know if the weird image separation and hyper judder I am seeing is due to 0.4.4? 🙂 Do I need to roll back to make it work? Its sooo close to being the most awesome thing ever.

Also how do you get rid of that bloody vignette? Reduced FOV is not what you need in a flight sim.

EDIT: Ah ok. It was my SLI causing the "Zudder", as I am choosing to call it. Sad to see P3D does not support SLI. Alos you can turn the vignette off, though I have a feeling its there because of the edge artefacts you get from the timewarping.

I am blown away by this sim, its sooo much better than FSX, and probably X-Plane too. I can see myself spending a LOT of time in it - I spent 5 minutes just watching an aileron moving on one of the Beech aircraft. Its just so awesome. Shame about the ground textures, but thats typical of flight sims. I wonder if adding some packs will drop the frame rate to stupid level.

Looks like I need to learn about tweaking 🙂

There is a new version of DCOC for 0.4.3, the old version was 0.4.2, is it possible you have that? Running with 0.4.4 it seems ok, the only problem is the cockpit labels cause a half-second stutter so you need to turn them off.

I've been having a hell of a time getting DCOC to work properly. As long as I don't need to change anything, it's great. However, no drop-down comboboxes work, and none of the menus operate after entering the sim.

Suggestions? I'm using P3D v2.4 with the latest DCOC.

Hi
Which Oculus SDK are you on? I am running 0.4.4 and it works alright, though is really designed for 0.4.3. Usually just hit escape and it takes you to a riftifed menu. I do have that issue where some of the options boxes dont work though, I assumed they were not changeable for a good reason,

My last test was using 0.4.3. (0.4.4 hadn't been released yet). It's not that some of the drop downs don't work, NONE of them do.

Another issue is that once you've entered the aircraft, you're stuck. You can hit escape to get back to the menu, but entries no longer work, including Exit! I've tried it as primary, as secondary and in direct mode. No change. 😞

No offence meant, but is it an "official" copy? If its pirate there may be "nuisance" factors programmed into it. Just a random stab in the dark.

Other than that, I had a lot of issues getting DCS to run on my new rig, a lot of which came down to having a USB hub plugged in.

None taken. I've got a monthly developer subscription.

Funny thing is, DCS works fantastic (well within it's DK1 supporting limitations). Flying upside down at 400kts through the mountains in an F-15 is just a scream. 🙂

I figured I'd update this thread. It turns out that the issue with the keyboard and menus was caused by FSUIPC. Once I disabled that, I no longer had any problems. The dropdowns still don't drop however.
