DK2 FOV downgrade from DK1?

Sorry if there is already a topic for this that I couldn't find from doing a search, but I was wondering if the downgrade in the Field of View from the DK1 to the DK2 should be of any concern?
The DK1 states a Field of View of 110 degrees and the DK2 states a Field of View of 100 degrees.
I know it's only 10 degrees less, but does that mean that the edges of the screen will be more noticeable?

I noticed this as well. I think it has to do with the screen being smaller and optic changes. I dont think its going to be a deal breaker but more FOV is always welcome.

Well it is only possible to get 110 just barely if you use the right lenses and have the DK1 adjusted so that the lenses are brushing up against your eyelashes almost touching your eyes. People who have used the DK2 say the difference is negligible and in fact it feels less like putting on a pair of goggles and more like looking out a window. I guess we will all have to do our own comparisons about 4 months from now. Looking forward to it.

DK2's FOV is larger than DK1's. Reported value is horizontal FOV, which is a tad larger than DK1's.

I notice that the dk2 only comes with two sets of lenses this time. One set is short sighted...the other is 20/20 I guess?

The DK2 FOV seems to be very good! I didn't notice any black bars in the Couch Knights demo at GDC (wasn't actively looking for it though).

Nice, so you were able to check it out..I'd love to hear your thoughts about it in general, Drash.

I saw in one of the hands on videos that the field of view is larger both horizontally and vertically on the DK2. This will be due to the larger lenses

DK1 FOV was 90 degrees iirc.

For DK1 Vertical is 90, horizontal is 85ish to about 110 depending on lenses and how close you adjust it to your eyes.
