DK2 To Order Or Not To Order

Hello all!

So here is my problem, for the past 3 years I have been waiting on fire for the Rift as I am sure most of you have... I didnt want to buy a DK version but the CV kept delaying and delaying...

When the Gear VR came out I was like AWESOME I can finally get to experience what modern VR is like AND it would make the wait for CV easier... it didnt... it made it worse... much much worse... it was jaw droppingly amazing and I cant wait to experience Elite Dangerous, Skyrim, Minecraft and a whole lots of other games on the rift.

My question is...

Do you think we will see the CV in the next 3 months or will it be more likely to be in 7 to 8 months from now?
cuz that would be the difference between wait and buy for me at this moment. 😛

Well i took the dive and I am loving every second. Elite Dangerous is SO much fun once you figure out how it works. Skyrim i have not tried yet just because i get so many mixed responses i dont want to risk ruining the magic that i think it could have.

If you have the extra money and you want to try it bad enough do it man. I did, and it changes everything (pr0n included)

The more important question is, do you have a PC capable of running the DK2/CV1?

Judging by your other posts here today, you do not.

If not, build/buy a machine capable of running the Rift before even considering buying the DK2.

Again thank you devhash... noted thanks, but that wasnt exactly my question here... and from what I have seen online and yourtube people are getting very good results with 860m it seems... but I still have to find out if I could run elite on it with oculus.

but again that is not the question of this post 🙂

Hahahaha that is good to hear bro... I am itching to pull the trigger, and now I have you on my shoulder in a devils suit

I am dying to fly elite with it, and once I build a better rig star citizen. 😄

but I REALLY dont want to buy it only to have CV released like 3-4 months later lol, how long do you think? I know no one really knows, I just keep getting a feeling it wont be until close to Dec 2015... I mean I dont get why Oculus cant even tell us what quarter it will be released in.

"We're getting very close. It's months, not years away." Nov 2014... I guess a year is made up of months as well so who knows

In a perfect world the CV1 will start taking pre-orders in 3 months and the first batch will start arriving in 6 months. I'd say a more realistic projection is a launch around September-December. They haven't even confirmed that it will be out this year, though I really hope it is.

I expect it will be out towards the end of the year if not pushed back into next year due to some unforeseen hardware circumstances such as the developers wanting the CV1 to be accessible on PCs that arent bleeding edge.

Ive had mine since early january, Ill be buying the CV1 (or pre ordering) day 0 as long as I have the funds.

::Also, :twisted: buy itttt

just a reminder that it may be released Christmas but imagine the number
of people wanting the CV1.

I would say add another 6 months to any estimate before it arrives at your door.
