Cool! I wonder if this will be an upgrade to the existing DG2 (which I already have in my Steam library) or a separate stand-alone edition?

I think top-down strategy-type games are a great fit for VR. I'd love to play XCOM2 with the Rift!

DK2, CV1, Go, Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3.

It will be a stand alone edition - so much under the hood has changed and been modified for VR that it can't work with the old version unfortunately. It also will not be on Steam, but on the Oculus service.

I heavily doubt it will stay exclusive.

Remember- Rift, Vive are accessory for PC not a consoles. Exclusives will not become a thing. Well... except few tech demos and minor games, just because no one will bother to convert them into other devices.

It better not become a thing... I despise closed platforms and VR should be treated as a peripheral not a platform. I can understand some sort of time exclusivity if one of the VR company funded a game, but full on exclusivity, that I can't accept.

Super excited for this. I love tower defense. I think tabletop scale VR is going to turn out to be one of the best genres of VR and people are underestimating its appeal. It's like playing with toys! 😄

Fair enough, I don't mind buying it again. That's a lot of work converting it to VR if you weren't going to see new revenue from it.
