Today we continue our Wands Developer Showcase with a look at some Tips & Tricks from NUX Studios for the upcoming multiplayer magic duel game. These quick tips should help you get in and get the most out of the experience, and they might even earn you a few extra wins.

Wands arrives on Gear VR this week on the 18th, we're looking forward to you feedback on the game!

Press and hold the fire button to unveil special effects and while using spells. For example, press and hold while Devil's Spit is activated to control the trajectory of the fireball and find ways around objects. You can even change the hit angle and alter the timing of the hit.

Some spells are more effective on certain levels. The homing Flaming Phoenix works best on open levels, while the bouncy Electric Fist works best in tight spaces with a lot of walls to bounce between.

Teleportation costs mana, so using it too often might put you in a vulnerable, or outright deadly, situation. Mana regeneration is faster during the final minute of a match.

Keep an eye out for health pickups, as they may change the tide of the game. All levels have health pickups—so make sure to find them all. They also respawn at regular intervals but remember,  there are no health pickups during the final minute of the game.

Experimentation with different sets of spells is encouraged. Some spells work well together, like Stone Prison and Acid Cloud, to create one deadly combination.
