Did Facebook just acquire a database of VR programmers?

From the Kickstarter rules:
Project Creators agree to not abuse other users' personal information. Abuse is defined as using personal information for any purpose other than those explicitly specified in the Project Creator’s Project, or is not related to fulfilling delivery of a product or service explicitly specified in the Project Creator’s Project.

This means OR may not give FB any information about the backers or the developers, NOTHING not even our names, or they can expect to face a huge class action lawsuit.

Just a friendly heads up to the OR team 🙂

*To be clear. This means Facebook did NOT just acquire a database of programmers interested in VR

doubt that they would abuse that. It woudnt be very smart to anger people people who are working to make great stuff for the Rift now would it?

OR doesn't have to worry about alienating their true fans and developers since they are now the minority. Now that facebook is involved, the common masses are their target demographic. Also, now they can get big name companies to make games for the rift.

Wonder if the team just lost the drive to make progress...

The kickstart is ancient history, and what use would a list of backers be given that many of them aren't even developers?

Do you seriously think a company as big as facebook would look for developers that way?
