Did Facebook really buy Oculus?

I keep reading threads on here about facebook already buying them but all the articles i've read say facebook is LOOKING to buy them. I think we need to figure out which one it is and if they're still looking to buy then I think we need to open a partition ASAP against selling. I for one think facebook will destroy Oculus and we need to prevent this from happening. There still might be a window or chance for us to persuade Oculus to not sell especially with all the people that will be cancelling pre orders and future purchases.

I have mixed feelings on this news. I don't want to be constantly linked online. I hate the direction Google is going with one login page for example. I really hope if this happens they can speed up the launch to the consumer version and gain more mainstream demand unlike the 3d tv results.
