Do you need an Internet Connection to play Single Player Project Cars on the Rift?

I was tempted to buy the game but then it says "Internet Required". I Do'nt understand why internet would be needed for the Single player mode.

Does it state internet is needed for ONE player Or does it expect a lot of folks online and gives a general requirement in stating internet needed??:)

I take it you mean it does work with Single Player? Ok i'm buying anyways. 🙂

Will Rift even load without Internet?  So many applications won't work without being able to authenticate with a server now, is Rift one of them?

"Project Cars" runs perfectly well with the Internet disconnected as does every other VR game.
Of course the WWW is required to compete with humans and their like..but 1 player: perfect.
I was one who believed that internet connection was mandatory for everything (!) but was proven incorrect.
So buy it with equanimity !
