E-Week 2017 Feb 19-25 and Demo my Rift, question

Anonymous

The company I work for has quite a few activities planned for E-week and they want me to bring my Rift in so the 40+/- Engineers can try VR. The problem is management said no shooting/racing games.

Are there any apps or demos that might be entertaining enough for Engineers?

Also, I've never experienced first hand a demo at something like CES or bestbuy so I don't know how to handle multiple people taking turns in an app? I see OH being a problem because I would have to explain what to point at and how to start without seeing it. I assume I would just start the demo and give them the Rift every time?

So if anyone has any experience at demoing the rift for crowds and apps or demo's I could use that Engineers would be impressed by, please give me some ideas?

While most of the games are more action oriented, there are some good demo apps you can try.

- Oculus Dreamdeck
- Introduction to VR
- Dear Angelica
- Henry
- Apollo 11
- Titans of Space
- The Rose and I
- Allumette
- Invasion

Thank You, I always forget about DreamDeck, that all by itself might be enough! they experience multiple demos in one app.

Yes, Dreamdeck is my go to for demos since it has a nice mix of content.

Dreamdeck is nice, but I actually thing The Lab on Steam is even better as a more complete demo as it is not just passive.
Rift-S, Quest 128GB, GO 64GB.

I installed The Lab but my question is can I play it offline? When I take my PC to work I can't connect to the domain, not even to ride the wire. Will steam let me login and play if not connected?

eWeek demo of the rift was a success at work today. I found out who was scared of heights and who didn't like roller coasters.

When I first set it up I had the height issue but decided to reinstall and rerun the entire setup and everything looked great. Only problem I had was after about an hour of use and in the Nvidia VR demo the sensor for the touch controller kept disconnecting and reconnecting making the right touch/hand stop working.

The people who had never experienced VR were blown away by the technology.
