I have voice attack and it is great but had to stop using it as I was waking everybody up in the house shouting 'hardpoints' which to the uninitiated must sound a little dodgy. 😄

lol I had a similar dodgy problem when requesting docking

And for the exact opposite situation there is a setting that allows you to set the sensitivity of the voice recognition down, so it doesn't pick up background noise... nothing worse than a boost by accident in a station because someone behind you said they would like a glass of Juice.....

Unfortunately my wife discovered that she could shout 'eject, eject' to bring my gaming session to a premature end.
God only knows what the neighbours think....

Lol you got to love the hype train...there's a wave of VIVE order cancellation now that ED has announced it supports the Rift...geez people's choice of headset doesn't hold to much lol

For me ED is the biggest thing for VR that i have tried for 18 months.

I took a gamble and risked getting ED support for the cv1 so i could get an early order, but i can totally see why some who wanted a rift, but insisted on elite D support would have played it safe and now jump ship.
Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR 🙂

This is great news for everyone (Vive or Rift), glad they got it sorted for rift after many DK2 owners invested in it early. We need stuff like these games to help push VR in these early days. And at least it's working all round and not just being paid to be exclusive by Oculus.

HOTAS sales just multiplied exponentially

I got in pretty early on the ordering, maybe in the first 2 minutes, so having ED up and running straight away is brilliant. Hoping one day horizons will be more like no mans sky for planetary landings though.

Hilarious. Was reading this while in a work meeting and accidentally laughed pretty loudly. Blank stares around the table...

I remember Oculus saying that all Titles in the Oculus store are supposed to run well with the GTX 970 but Frontier mentioed the 980 will be required for Elite: VR

I am really looking forward what this update on Elite will bring!

So whats your definition of a HOTAS?

HOTAS = Hands On Throttle and Stick

Means your have a stick and separate throttle

One example of my HOTAS T.flight thrustmaster

I have that one too.
Very good and very cheap 🙂 perfect for starting ^_^
But for elite... you will still need the keyboard 🙂

I have the X52 Pro, never used the keyboard once...The only reason you could is if you want to chat with other players...

ED and my x-55 hotas are collecting dust since i sold my DK2 in October. Best rift experience i ever had. I probably wont play anything else for a while after i get my rift or vive.

I'm going to have to spend some quality time with ObsidianAnt to learn the game better.

Of course I just picked up the Division today for PS4...
