Facebook going to help change final outcome? Help me decide

Previously ,

Palmer stated that DK2 will be the base for the final product meaning Consumer Version will only have slight Improvements
But since Facebook acquired Oculus and the fact they have a lot of money now will this statement hold true even now because if the final consumer product has a overall Huge Improvement in the end then I do not want to buy DK2 now.

So what do you guys think should I wait for Consumer version or Just buy DK2 now , I am a huge Enthusiast for VR , I am not a developer but after playing with the Oculus I might get into programing So what do I do , Wait or Buy?

If it will be huge improvement, it will take more time to make. In that case you will have plenty of time with DK2, it will be quite frustrating wait without.

350$ is really cheap for having a VR headset now... maybe not a year or two down the road when the CV comes out, but thats just like any other piece of computer hardware, early adopters always pay a bit more

I'm buying a DK2.

Yes good idea but , I would Like to get into programing Once I get Oculus as it will increase my interest even further 😄

But that is the problem I don't know weather to wait for Consumer version or buy DK2 now and start early :?:

Not only that, early adopters generally gets some kind of promo code in the end.. Might be too late for that tho.

Learn 3d programming, you'll need a minimum to start integrating the rift.

And you already have the SDK 😉

wait for CV1 because you are not going to sell DK2 for a good price. CV1 will cost like 200 IMO. So noone will buy your DK2 if u want to get rid of irt.

And if it´s not huge improvement, value of DK2 will not drop so much when release of CV1 comes. So about win-win situation, either way you pay some amount of money to have DK2, shorter or longer time and more or lesser value of your DK2 after CV1.
