First Vive Pro Bundle Announced - The Starter Kit

So today we’re announcing the Vive Pro Starter Kit available on Vive.com starting April 5. This bundle pairs the Vive Pro HMD and two Vive 1.0 controllers and two 1.0 base stations for $1099 (USD, regional prices vary).

We’re also sweetening the pack-in offer for existing Vive owners that have purchased Vive Pro, where we will offer a $100 Viveport content credit and extend the Viveport Subscription offer to 1 year.

Well that's a bit better but still overpriced imo. They should have had the full bundle for $799 I think.

I can only assume with this price reduction that hardly anyone was buying them.

Its more of Damage Control, HTC was bashed enough for releasing overpricing pro headset only without all including option, they are now making up by offering remaining 1.0 kit at subsidized pricing thus hitting two birds with one arrow

1) Clearing remaining stock before they launch knuckle controller and 2.0 base stations
2) Some good looking business for new buyers who directly purchase Vive Pro and do not have base
    stations or controllers.

I'll be fair and say to you what i constantly said to all those who raved about the Vive before it came out - i'm having some amazing experiences with my Gear VR and DK2 right now.

Just accept God Rays... ED text and menus Shines on CV1 text legibility is above par on Rift than Vive.

Yup, the Rift's displays and optics are far superior than the Vive's, one of the many reasons why I got a Rift. The SDE in particular is GODAWFUL with the Vive.

I'm expecting the CV2 to be superior too. Oculus are just too far ahead of everyone else when it comes to R&D.
