While personally I think @danknugz can be overly negative and crass sometimes, he is entitled to his opinion and free to participate given that the forum rules are followed (which I believe they were). However, @Zenbane has made some posts here that I would consider an attack on character and thus a personal insult (which is against the rules). I am not planning on banning anyone right now, and things have been more or less under control for a while, but please understand that this is getting close to the line. Thanks.
@cybereality - when Dank repeatedly states that games many of us (myself included) enjoy are "shallow and pathetic" that is very much an opinion that attacks ones character, due to the obvious implication that myself and others like "shallow and pathetic" things. That shouldn't have to be pointed out.
And my only comment at that time was that dank's forum postings are, in my opinion, shallow and pathetic. His response was to call in to question my age and hobbies in order to prove that I have no life, which shouldn't need to be explained is an insult to ones character
When it comes to Dank I do believe that you turn a blind eye to his incredibly crude depiction of the life and qualities of anyone who enjoys the Rift and average VR games. If banning me is your answer then there's nothing I can do about that. But as long as you make the excuse that Dank is simply sharing an opinion that he is entitled to, then I will respond the way I see fit. I'm not going to sit in fear of your ban stick while you promote someone calling my tastes "shallow and pathetic."
"shallow and pathetic" is subjective, stop cherry picking and taking things out of context
There was nothing taken out of context. Anyone calling those AAA quality titles I listed shallow and pathetic has a screw loose, hasn't played the games or, as @Zenbane has inferred, is too stoned to distinguish a good game from a bad one.
This constant Oculus bashing from a few members of this forum is just plain bizarre tbh.

My point was you could address the argument, for example showing the games on the platform were not "shallow" based on game length, metacritic score, sales, etc. or something of that nature rather than resorting to veiled insults.

I agree, and it would probably be easier if the argument in question offered more than just saying things like,
"Your Oculus Rift is overhyped bullshit, and all your VR software is shallow and pathetic."
I'd like to point out that danknugz is far from the average stoner, imo. He's like if comicbookguy was sleep deprived, stoned, and kinda drunk at the same time. Basically a chilled out less offensive less irritating version.
Most stoners I know of act/talk much more like me, than him, even if we don't name ourselves after it, or mention it often.
This is not an insult against the nug-man, simply an attempt at observing and informing/sharing my personal experience as an opinion.
