Saw this earlier. Good way of seeing if you like it/don't feel sick etc I suppose

Also a good way of spreading the word as the queue to try it at ECX later this month will no doubt be massive.[url]

Hmmm the paranoia is strong in this thread......

I guess walking out in the street is risky as someone might leap out from behind a bush and cut your throat.....

... and as for crossing the road don't get me going on that one.... 😉

This thread is from 6 years ago. How does someone find a thread that old.

6 years ago was the safest time in history (3 posts up), nothing lasts forever!

I might start charging £15 an hour to try my CV1, the cost of living has gone up since 6 years ago.

Back then £10 to experience VR was probably better value than the £5 a pop I payed to have a go on virtuality back in the day. (From memory price could be wrong)

That said it does sadden me that people did that. Back when I had my DK2 I was more than happy to demo my headset to people wanting to try VR and I didn't charge for the pleasure. Spreading the VR bug was enough for me. I guess it is the difference between trying to be part of a community Vs profiteering off other people's work.
I suspect the same People will be preordering a dozen ps5s to hawk on eBay.
There is some proper tinfoil hattery tho about people coming into your house and murdering you.... I guess I am fortunate enough to live in the UK. Sure crime does happen but I don't need to live in fear of people running amok in my house (even when I lived in moss side)
Fiat Coupe, gone. 350Z gone. Dirty nappies, no sleep & practical transport incoming. Thank goodness for VR 🙂

Reminds me of my father-in-law telling me about how they were the first family on his street to get a TV and they used to charge fee to the neighbour kids to come in and watch it.

We were the first family on the block to get a microwave.  I used to charge the other kids $1 (70's price) to "cook" a hotdog, or boil water.  I toyed with the idea of $5 to watch a bug die, but decided not to, because I didn't want to clean up the mess, before my parents got home.
