So my rift is resheduled for june that is ok considering i ordered 6 hours in. My vive however ordered 3/1 1 minute in and funds taken from my card on 4/26 I called and was told i will received it between may 1-15 they are not sure, yet i see others here bragging about how they ordered 2 weeks or so ago getting theirs now. Just curious what everyones story was with how they got their vive? I swore from the impression i got that the VIVE camp was superior in shipping lol
You had to read the fine print. Everyone "pretending" that the smarter choice to cancel the Rift in favor of the Vive was either: 1) Lying; or 2) only talking about the lovely email notifications they received from Vive order software.
If you sift through all that silliness and read the posts from real Vive users, you quickly realize that the best thing to do is wait for the Rift. The Vive is currently the Nintendo Wii of VR.

well thats what im trying to figure out, either im very unlucky with my vive order, or others are lying about just throwing in an order and getting it right away.
It could likely be both. There is rarely any rhyme or reason to retail, manufacturing, and purchasing. Too many software systems and databases to get a clear streamlined process. I received my Rift 2 weeks after ordering via Best Buy which is one week earlier than expected. Maybe someone skipped lunch the day my package was being put together?
Who knows. But my virtual fingers are crossed in your favor buddy.
I ordered my Vive on April 1st, was going to cancel it last week and just wait for the Rift in July, but then HTC charged my credit card, so I decided to keep it, and it arrived yesterday. Seems to be no sense to the order HTC are sending them out.
