Help I Feel Sick! - Legs Gone

I feel a bit peculiar in the stomach area after a short bout of From Other Suns using smooth turning and free locomotion. My stomach is usually very tough and acclimatized but I think I lost my VR legs. I blame Artika1 for not using free locomotion as that was the last game I played in VR for any long period. Do I have to start the VR legs building process again?

FOS is pretty intense since it has smooth turning. What turning rate are you using? Don't max it out.

Do you only have two sensors?  I can run around in circles playing all of the Serious Sam games on full walking speed all day, but as soon as I try smooth turning with the control stick, I'm done.  I'd recommend turning your whole body physically if you have 3 sensors.  Yeah, my cord gets a bit twisted every once in a while, but never enough that I've had to stop to un-wind it in the middle of a game.  I just do it when I'm done playing.

I lose my legs a bit as well if I am away from VR for longer than a week. However, it doesn't impact my motion sickness very much; instead it impacts my heights phobia. It takes me a few hours to feel calm during extreme heights in VR after a lengthy break.

Yeh thanks. Kinda stomaching a bit more today but don't want to push too hard.

Yea I was running around in Arizonia Sunshine this weekend after being out of VR for a mth and got wobbly legs a couple of times.

Smooth turning still makes me queasy. I've never been particularly prone to motion sickness or VR sickness, and I can handle all other types of smooth locomotion fine, but rotating with a stick is awful. I prefer to physically turn my body and make large-scale corrections with 45 or 90 degree snap-turning. I can do that all day long.

i think i am a little fucked up in the head because i don't notice anything wrong with only 45fps on some games when maxed out yet you need 90fps, i never feel sick on any game or have any other issues. i cant even tell the difference from 30fps and 60fps on non vr games. i must have a fucked up brain 😞

Nope. People like us (I'm also completely immune to sim sickness) actually have superior brains.  B)
