Horizon Workrooms Keyboard support

Do we have a time frame for keyboards to be added as 'native' in Oculus Quest 2? The support keyboard Logitech K830 is OOS and looks very dated. Could we have support for example for  Logitech k600 TV keyboard or allow us to add custom keyboard?

Hey abdusamed!

We are working on a slew of new features for Workrooms, but cannot share anything yet. However, if this is a topic you'd like more attention on, then we'd like you to share your feedback with the Workrooms team directly!

To do that, please do the following:

  1. From the Workrooms web app, click on your name in the bottom left corner.
  2. Click Help & Support, then click Give Feedback or Report a Problem.
If you're the author of a thread, remember to mark a reply as the Accepted Solution to help others find answers!

Hi, we're wanting to use Workrooms - love the app but zero keyboard support doesn't help.  The K830 isn't available anywhere and well, supporting Apple laptops just doesn't make sense.

Please start supporting other keyboards and work with manufacturers to manufacture some.

Or give up on these promised features with your products!

Big PC, all the headsets, now using Quest 3

Hi, I wanted to explore Horizon Workrooms usign my macbook pro. I have a Logitec K830 keyboard, but I find that when I use Horizon Workrooms I get 3 large screens shown in the quest but when I type on the K830, the mac does not seem to receive keyboard input. It seems that the keyboard input is actually going to the quest, but not the remote computer. Am I supposed to pair the keyboard with the mac instead of the quest and only track it optically with the quest? Most VNC like program woud normally divert the keyboard and mouse to the remote computer. Also the keyboard tends to be drawn over the top of my hands too.

From what I've been able to find, you would have to pair your keyboard with your MacBook, and then THESE steps show you how to get it working with Horizon Workrooms. Hope this helps somewhat! Feel free to drop more questions in the thread if you have them.

Genesis does what Nintendon't! Send me a DM if you have questions. I'm happy to help!
