So this has probably already been addressed by I couldn't (for the life of me) find it. Does anyone know how to view what you can see on your rift on a secondary display so other people can see what you can see, also so you can record. The majority of the unity games are fine but the others just given me a blank screen on my monitor which is a shame, It's a far better group experience when people can actually see what's going on.
Again if this has already been addressed then if anyone could link the thread, I would greatly appreciate it.
The problem is on DK2 the image to the HMD is rotated so if you use a splitter, it comes out wrong.
It's unfortunately a problem though what one guy did was use an HDMI splitter to a projector that he then rotated 90 degrees so it would show up proper on a screen/wall.
Search for HDMI splitter.
But... but... but... I just NEED to know about the Baba! The Baba has me hypmotized!
Hi, you were referring to my experiment with the HDMI duplicator and flipped projector. Fact is I only succeeded once so the HDMI duplicator is not the right solution. The DK2 needs to be connected the HDMI port of your system directly to work properly. I have tried some of the software solutions but somehow they don't work either on my setup (black screens).
Open Broadcaster (OBS) solves this problem very effectively. It's been mentioned countless times on the forums here. Here's one recent thread with good instructions:
