How do i try old demos/games with consumer Rift?

I bought The Rift 3-4 days ago and have been trying out everything from games to movies and demos, but i've had problems with trying out the old demos that used the dk2 or older. Especially all of the old demos with a program, i run it and everything is fine but all i get is the oculus home screen. Is there some way to use backwards compatibility or anything to watch those? Sometimes the game/demo says that there is no HMD detected tried to google that but found no answer.

Holt molly talk about fast service, and thanks for the answer. Wont waste my time anymore with finding an answer.

Some of the old demos and experiences have and will be updated to work on the CV1 Chanhlam, take a look here:

Also, there was a way to play some of the older apps using a wrapper - i used it some time ago but it affected other apps so i steered clear

I'd stick to official channels - we have a consumer product now, no need to struggle with unofficial software.
Big PC, all the headsets, now using Quest 3

If you have enough space on your harddrive you can set up another OS and install the older 0.6 or/and 0.8 specifically for running the older stuff if you wish.    This would prevent the potential issues with using a wrapper.

Those old runtimes (anything prior to 1.x) won't support the consumer Rift.
