I'm been trying to figure out whether to buy it or not but I've been seeing many problems. First apparently you are unable to use the internet with it connected and now I hear that it stops connecting after a while. Were any of those fixed over the last month? Was anything improved? I want to know so that I can possibly get it soon

I got it when it came out and have had a positive experience thus far 🙂
internet not being available is only an issue if you don’t use Ethernet to your pc. Which, for any unaware, Ethernet to pc is the only way to make air link work as intended. Trying to use airlink with wifi is doable, but comes with a cost (not IMPOSSIBLE, Just not as consistent or reliable). Anyway, the only thing that loses internet, assuming you are using Ethernet, is your headset. Your pc will still have internet access as long as it’s not on wifi. If you’re using wifi, then you can turn on ICS to allow internet on the dongle…though this is not recommended as ICS has been known to cause more issues than it’s solved. Anyway, the airlink dongle has been a wonderful addition for me. I don’t have the room for another router, and this dongle allows me to switch from pc to laptop for airlink WAY faster and with more convenience than using a spare router. As far as it failing to connect or read after a set amount of time, I have had no such issues o: I seriously use it for everything other than beat saber (air link latency vs cable latency on fast songs). It performs p much identical to any of the recommended gaming routers, so it’s really up to you if it’s worth the cost. You can spend $49 on a dedicated gaming router and follow a tutorial on making it your AP for airlink, or you can spend $99 on a plug-n-play dongle for the same experience. 🙂
note, if you DO get the dongle or a dedicated router, ensure that you have your encoding bitrate set to 0, as encoding bitrate at any other value causes airlink to gag and choke. Happy to answer any specific questions you may have about the dongle! It’s been my daily driver since it came out so I can probably help with any further inquiries. The dongle is a convenient option, but comes at almost double the cost of a gaming router. I chose convenience.
