How much is a refurbished CV1 headset GOING FOR at Oculus?

Wildt

During the end of the warranty period on my CV1, I RMA'ed it because of the well  known audio strap issue. I got a refurbished replacement, which now has a broken IPD sensor.
Warranty has expired, but the good folk at Oculus are offering me to buy a refurbished headset with 6 months of warranty. No controllers or sensors - just the HMD.

How many Euros do you guys think they're charging for it?

Damn, I had mine this past weekend on CList for $250 (3 sensors, gunstock, some accessories), and got a few hits but they flaked out.

I think I'mma hold onto my CV1 until the Rift-S drops; that way I can directly compare the two and sell off the cv1 afterwards (if I keep the S)

You sure about that?   People are only paying so much for CV1s because they've convinced themselves that Rift-S is going to be garbage;   After it comes out and blows away everyone's expectations, you might have a hard time getting a good price for the old model.

It's hard being the voice of reason when you're surrounded by unreasonable people.

But it's REALLY an easy fix in the software if Oculus cared. Just implement a registry value that overrides the sensor readout, and I could 1-click swap between the IPDs of my family members.

Another thing I want to say I can fix in software, but then people will expect me to actually finish the project and release it.
(Hmm, I guess it could also be used to set software IPD outside of the hardware IPD range, so people with extreme IPD values at least get right world scale but not the sweet spot)

Yup. My area is kinda saturated with CList Oculus Rift posting (6 right now), and prices vary wildly: 2 sensor setups for $350+, and a 3 sensor setup for $220. I'm kinda waiting for the $220 listing to go away (that's probably what hurt mine).

That would be awesome, but like @ApollyonVR said in his OTT thread, Oculus themselves are probably gonna do a lot of the foot work to support the Lenovo software IPD, so it's probably gonna be easier in a few weeks 🙂

Forget about Craigslist that's pretty much always a waste of time. Put it on the Facebook Marketplace and you will probably sell it pretty quick at a much higher price. I put mine on there for 320 bucks and within a matter of minutes people were messaging me and I had it sold before lunch.
