As the titel states i dont have a cc ( bought cv1 with Paypall ) and oculus home asks for that when i want to buy something. As 99% of the europeans dont use cc's its kinda weird only this option is highlighted tbh.

So just give all my money to steam then?

99% of Europeans don't use credit cards? How do you buy airline tickets, rent cars, or pay for just about anything online? Are you suggesting that before PayPal came along, all transactions were cash only??

DK2, CV1, Go, Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3.

We buy those things with our bankcard and an online app like Ideal. No cc's are needed for that in Holland.

But the problem still stands after your answer lol.

You don't actually need a 'credit' card. I can't buy anything on credit so my cc is actually a 'bank' card as we call it here. If that's what you mean.

You can still use bank cards in the oculus store or any online transaction.

I think 99% is a bit too high although in general I agree with the OP. Lots of people here don't have credit cards since there is no real point in having em (generally you can pay with your bank card and the funds will get deducted from your bank account - most of the times this happens instantly as compared to cc's where you get billed at the end or middle of the month.
Only reason I ever use a credit card is for the rare situations where I simply must: Booking hotels, flights, renting cars - that sort of thing and even there I try to avoid it.

As for the OP's problem: For some time now there have been prepaid credit cards are on the market (they get sold here at almost every gas station) - might be worth checking in that direction.

Why doesn't the OP just use a standard bank debit card? I've never had a Credit Card in my life and have never encountered anything online I cant pay for.

Everyone around me have CC, I have a debit card only since I arrived in the Netherlands. 99% in NL but not in Europe. I admit they're very handy in everyday's life but I can't pay online on websites that don't have iDEAL.

I think some countries like Netherlands and Germany make the distinction between credit card and debit card because credit cards don't work everywhere. In Sweden, no distinction because almost everyone uses credit cards everywhere.

"Debit" means you only pay with the funds available on your account. Many credit cards are connected to the balance, but not necessarily a credit balance, so they act as a debit card but the card can be a credit card, that's enough for German stores and ATM''s to say "Nope." and you have to walk a few blocks to find an ATM that accepts credit cards.

It's stupid. Debit cards are for children.
