We manufacture and sell scratch resistant coatings for lenses and displays, but we don’t do application work. I might be able to recommend someone that can do it for you, but need to know the volume and geometry of the part.

That company is most likely expecting a commercial quantity. i.e. they get shipped in by the truck load and processed in bulk. I doubt they will want to process a ton of separate individual orders.

Might be easier to try a smart phone screen protector cut to size?

I just use iPad HD protective screen with 99% light transmission, cut out the correct size and stick it to the lens. Easy mod.

Using stick one at stupid and makes it worse. Scratch resistant coating is best but obviously cost more but worth it.

Would be best if oculus can work with a scratch resistant manufacturer for the sake of us all.

From a manufacturing standpoint, the only efficient way to do it would be to have all of them at the same time.
