This is what I bought the rift for. If there is something to be said about IL-2 pilots is that most are pretty damned skilled, especially the guys flying in the full realism servers, so you really need to move your head. In my opinion it is an unparalleled as a flight sim, second only to DCS and P3D (for the commercial side).
Hopefully VR implementation will be smooth and even if they don't offer us depth, as far as depth in the cockpit they can offer head tracking support.

Can't wait for this. I know that, technically speaking, DCS is better, but I always enjoyed IL2 so much more. Just enough detail to make it realistic, but not quite so anal in all of the minutiae, to make it seem like hard work. And the most dramatic era too. Be good to get a Virtual Squadron up and running from these forums 🙂
So is this for IL2 BOS or just IL2, I'm confused? Also is it just for Steam because I got this from the store when it first came out? Anyway to make it a steam game if that's the case?
